A theif is in the neighborhood & other stories from today...

Okay... probably not really a "theif". It's probably just a few kids out, causing trouble. We were coming home tonight, when we were having trouble finding our driveway. (We have only been living here for a little over a month). We had bought two reflectors to mark where our driveway was. And tonight, they are gone, as is all of the other reflectors on the street. I shouldn't be so freaked out about it... but I have never had someone come on to our property & take something of ours.

Anyways... thanks for letting me vent. I needed to just let those go.

Today was a good day. I managed to stay right at my points for today. It seems like it is really easy to go over my points & yet earlier today, I realized that I had barely used any of them. This program definately requires lots of planning. But lucky for me, I am usually very organized. I once made a list of all of the lists that I needed to make. My mom often teases me about being overly anal about my lists.

So tomorrow, we will take another trip to the store. Anyone have any good salad dressing recipes? I already tried making an oil & vinegar dressing, with a little bit of ground mustard & garlic powder. It was okay, but I would rather not taste so much vinegar. I usually eat the really creamy dressings like ranch, caeser or thousand island.

Also, on the plan for tomorrow, will be another visit to the gym. I have done cardio twice this week, so tomorrow, I am planning on swimming laps. My muscles feel great, but I don't want to push it, & do too much. I am looking forward to it.

Salad dressings I eat:

Fat free Catalina - the best
fat free rasp vinigrette - good
fat free ranch - takes some getting used to, but I mix a little of this with a little Catalina and it's good

Thanks for the info... It's so hard to know what I can eat & still stay in my point range right now. I get 31 points a day (plus flex), but it can be really easy to go over those.

I know that it will get easier, as I learn the program.

I like a 1:1:1 ratio of olive oil and lemon juice and balsamic vinegar, plus a little bit of dijon mustard (for emulsification as well as taste).

Also, fat-free plain yogurt and lemon juice (diluted with a little water or olive oil if it's too thick) makes a creamy, healthy dressing.
