As you know, I jusst returned from a 10+ day vacation in Hawaii. I didn't keep track of what I was eating, which is very bad, I know. And of course, I had to indulge in some chocolate covered macadamia nuts, while I was there. Plus the bag that I brought home with me. Thank god it's gone & is no longer sitting around, to tempt me. So I was hoping to maintain my weight, while I was gone. And if I even lost .1, I was going to be thrilled with that. My goal was not to gain more than a pound. So I went to my meeting with that mindset & thinking of all of the food that I had eaten & how I haven't been to the gym since we left for vacation, at the beginning of February. The anticipation of waiting to find out how much I had gained was driving me nuts. I patiently waited in line, for my weigh in. Now, this is not an easy thing for me to do. I am not a patient person. I just wanted to find out my current weight, so the wait would be over. (No pun intended!) Finally, it was my turn. I timidly walked up to the scale, removed my sweatshirt (don't worry... I had a t-shirt on under it!) & also my shoes. I took a deep breath & boldly stepped up on the scale. And waited... See? I'm really not good at this whole waiting thing. Finally, the receptionist looked up at me & smiled.
Two pounds! That's 2, as in T W O. As in, I am 2 pounds less than I was before the superbowl. I am 2 pounds lighter than I was in Kauai. Even with my not alway so good choices, I am down 2 lbs.
Don't worry though. I am already writing down everything I eat again. Back on track finally. We plan on going to the gym tomorrow, to get back into our routine of going three times a week. We didn't go yesterday. But we did shovel snow for over an hour & had a snowball fight. So I did get some activity in yesterday.
Happy Fat Tuesday, everyone!

nice job...I'm anticipating a gain tomorrow...:D
Congratulations! Did you stay for the meeting this week? I'm interested what your leader did for the topic.
Thanks guys!
Nate: don't stress it! You are doing awesome! Keep up the good work!
Brian: I always stay for the meetings (so far). We always seem to do so much talking (mostly women & you know how women can gab!) that we usually don't get to the topic. We did talk a little about the difference between flex & core & the benefits of each & switching between the 2.
