I have been really struggling lately. I really don't like weighing in on Tuesdays. I feel like I don't have enough time to recover from my weekend. I know that I didn't put on this weight overnight & that I am not going to lose it overnight. But it's very discouraging to be losing it SO slowly! With some people, the weight seems to just fall right off. But I am going to keep trying & fighting for this.
Also, I am going to continue going to my weight watchers meetings, but I am going to try attending a few overeaters anonymous meetings, to help me deal with some of my other food issues.
The more support & information I can get, the more likely that I am going to beat this! If this was easy, everyone would be thin! Because, hey, let's face it: no one chooses to be fat. I didn't wake up one morning & say "Damn it! I am sick of being thin! I want to put on some weight!"
Also, congrats to Nate for losing 100 pounds with Weight Watchers!

:( Sounds like you ARE bummed...you aren't going through this alone, you have an online fan club rooting you along! Healthy weight loss is only 1-2 pounds a week and based on our experiences, I think that if it happened much quicker than that the person wouldn't actually have time to make a lifestyle change. A change in lifestyle will keep the weight off and help maintain a healthy weight over a lifetime. Try to stay positive and remember your non-scale victories as well! It's not just about numbers...well the numbers on the scale anyway (jean sizes are numbers too :) ).
What she said.
You shouldn't compare yourself to others, and I know that's hard not to do. Focus on what is working for you and your family. Then make the choice and decision what to do. This does take time but it's because you have to constantly review what you are doing and adjust the program to make it work for you. Remember that you are worth it and deserve this loss.
Go for the wins, where ever you can find them. Sometimes my simplist win is nothing more than "I only drank two beers at dinner and not three." You can have the wins even if the scale shows you went up.
Keep up the good work.
I am in the slow and steady club with you. Lets keep our eye on the goal as we crawl towards it together. :0)

keep it up Megan....you are doing great! focus on what you can control (what you eat, your exercise level, etc) let the things you can't control go (the amount you lose each week). and always remember that the scale number is just one piece of feedback in this thing. you're not losing weight just to have a smaller scale number....I'll repeat that WE ARE NOT LOSING WEIGHT JUST TO HAVE A SMALLER SCALE NUMBER. Focus on the other positives...you're enjoying working out, you've gotten new clothes, and you're feeling better.
Thanks for the congrats too..:)
Ahhh glasshoppah...I have taught you well.
Oh girl, I feel bad for slacking on my blog reading. Hang in there kiddo. You're doing such a wonderful job and I am so very proud of you.
