Celebrating Braden's Birthday

Today, we celebrated Braden's birthday. He actually turns 2 tomorrow. But we had his party today. His favorite present was this toy broom that we found at Toys R Us. He is such a neat freak. My husband says he gets it from me. It was a really fun day. Both kids were in a really good mood, which is really nice, especially on a day like today. Dalton wanted a present too, so Braden gave his older brother one of his presents to open. It was so sweet. We also got Dalton a Lightning McQueen car, the size of a matchbox car, that was from Braden.

We ordered a Subway Party Planner, with a variety of different 3 inch subs for lunch. It was great. It was so easy. And much healthier than ordering pizza. And I didn't have the hassle of cooking, which normally I don't mind. But today was hectic. And we are a big family. When everyone gets together & no one brings any friends, there are 10 of us.

Instead of birthday cake, I made cupcakes. I love making cupcakes over cake. Less tempting to eat too large of a serving. I also served reduced fat ice cream, which everyone commented was really good & creamy. Little did they know, it wasn't as full of fat as they thought it did.
Happy Birthday Braden! Mommy loves you!

Sounds like you made a lot of good choices and still had a great b-day party! Congratulations!

Congratulations, I love making cupcakes too instead of a whole cake. Definitely more manageable for little hands and people on Weight Watchers.
