Forgive me, for I have sinned. The past 2 weeks, have been extremely challenging for me. I have had trouble with just about everything. Okay guys... bear with me, while I vent.
1. I haven't been getting all of my water in. I have been so sick of drinking water & decaf iced tea & hot teas that I have allowed myself more pepsi's than I should. (And before you suggest it, I have tried every single diet soda out there (literally--this is NOT an understatement) & I just can't stomach it. Also, I am really not fond of the taste of splenda or any other artificial sweeteners.)
2. I have not been getting in all of my fruits & veggies like I should.
Now that I have told you everything that I have done wrong, let me tell you some things that I have been doing right.
1. I have been increasing my exercise. It has been tough getting to the gym (both boys still have the sniffles) but I have made sure that I have been doing things at home, such as Kickboxing, Tae Bo, crunches, steps ect. (Also, if anyone is interested in doing crunches with me, daily or every other day, please let me know. I have not posted my progress, because no one else seemed interested in joining me.)
2. I have been watching my portions.
3. I haven't given in to old eating habits.
4. I survived another birthday & birthday cake & ice cream. (Happy Birthday Mom) My Mom bought Edy's (or Dryer's, depending on which part of the country you live in) Slow Churned 1/2 the fat ice cream. I made the birthday cake. Instead of using oil, I used the same amount of applesauce. And when my Mom served the cake, she cut them into nice, small pieces! I was so happy!
I had another weigh in today. I lost another pound, bringing my total weight loss to 11.2 lbs! Now, I know that it's not as impressive as some people, but I am very proud of this! My clothes are fitting better (or were so big that I have had to get rid of them & go shopping--darn! ;) ) & I am feeling better.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot! My Mom told me that I have lost a significant amount of weight & that I look much thinner!

11.2 pounds?! That's TERRIFIC!
The way I get my water in is by using a 1-liter Aquafina bottle. I make the goal to drink one bottle before lunch, then finish the second bottle before dinner. That's a lot easier for me than keeping track of 8 different glasses of water and lets me drink at my own pace. It may or may not work for you, but at $1 a bottle it might be worth a shot.
Keep up the good work, girl!
Good for you for focusing on the positives (and these are some awesome positives!). You're doing such a great job; keep it up!
